Short Films 2021-2024
During my college career, I have branched out through alternative and narrative films. I have learned how to light a studio, create astounding effects, and editing techniques such as parallax. All of these are directed and/or shot by me.
"Music For Abby"
This award-winning short was inspired when I found old footage and music my grandfather left behind for me. I decided to film my journey, watching this footage for the first time on camera, and revisiting these locations he wanted me to see.
"Hitting Concrete"
In this film, my colleague Caleb Primeau and I portrayed our experiences with mental health, as the main character's life flashed before her eyes before taking her life. Her memories were all filmed in 16mm film, and digital on a C200 camera.
"ANIMAL"
This short is about a young fighter is pushed past both his physical and mental limits. A. Minnich produced and was the director of photography for this film.
"Deserted Haven"
This exercise was given to me in my directing class at Penn State University. It is supposed to encompass the sense of the place, which is a warm, empty, old room.
"Frostbound Desolation"
This exercise was given to me in my directing class at Penn State University. It is supposed to encompass the sense of the place, which is a cold, empty night.
"DRAINAGE"
In my directing class, I was given a script and had to create a scene based off of the script (though it had to be completely different than the movie it was written for originally).
"mmm mmm mmm"
This sense of action exercise is about my cat, tux, who LOVES wet food.

"When I Feel Your Touch"
In this video, I play around with alternative filmmaking by creating a video based on a Haiku that was written by me. My actor, Andy Young, was placed on top of an apple box to resemble him floating in space.
"A Whisper and A Scream"
Here my partner, Sophy Leiva and I created an alternative look at what a whisper and a scream would visually look like. We recreated a set physically to make the thunder effect, which was hard, but very fun!
"Watching"
This is the first solo short film that I have made! It was created for my 242 class at Penn State University. I directed, wrote, shot, and edited it.

"Portrait Lady"
this video contains over 2000 frames of hand-drawn images. I am still working on the final cut, though this was my first draft!
"Spoon"
Here I created my own set and sound design for a stop-motion animation project.
"Nature"
Here, I take still images and recreate them into what seems like moving images, or video.
"91 Billion Light Years"
This is a short alternative project where I take a poem that I wrote and apply video to represent how I feel.
